Things To Do

On The Campsite

Children and adults alike can make dens in the 10 acres of wild habitat and woodland, explore, welly walk in the streams and help collect wood for the campfire. Be on the look out for rabbits, mice, shrews, foxes, badgers or even a polecat. Swing quietly beneath an old Oak tree, fly a kite or relax in a hammock in dappled shade beneath the Alders

Have a go at being a farmer; learn to be a trainee sheepdog, weigh or feed the lambs on this working farm.

Cook over an open fire, toast marshmallows, watch bats in clear, peaceful sunsets. Enjoy dark night skies with millions of stars. Listen to night calls of foxes and owls and wake up to the rhythmic munching of sheep.

The Local Area

Enjoy glorious local beaches of golden sand in Cardigan Bay - New Quay and the dog friendly beach of Traeth Gwyn are 6 miles away from Nantgwyn Camping. Enjoy magnificent walks on the Ceredigion Coastal Path discovering rockpools, hidden away coves and waterfalls.

You can wander round the colourful local seaside town of Aberaeron, explore the independent shops and craft centre, try your hand at crabbing and treat yourself to the famous Honey Ice Cream or fabulous ice-cream sundaes and waffles

Ceredigion's coast is also well-known for wildlife. Look out for the bottlenose dolphins and seals from the shore or take a boat trip from the picturesque village of New Quay. Buy freshly caught crab or lobster for your evening dinner.

Go inland to Tregaron and beyond to explore the Cambrian Mountains or pan for gold at Dolaucothi Gold Mine (National Trust 21 miles inland).
